How to register for and access our series of webinars

Accessing the webinars

Here are some detailed instructions on how to register for, and then access, the webinars and replays.

You are strongly recommended to sign up for a free account at WebinarNinja after registering for any of our webinars. By claiming your free account after making a booking, you can then log on at any time to easily access upcoming and past webinars that you have registered for. This is far easier than relying on finding confirmation emails and clicking on the links, since it is all in one
place.

By setting up this access when you book - rather than when a webinar is about to start - you can be sure that everything is ready to go before the next live webinar is due to begin.

Test webinar

We have a free test webinar that allows you to check that you can access our webinars before trying to join a live webinar or watch a replay. The test session also allows you to verify that your sound is working and gives some tips on how the sessions run, how to ask questions, etc.

If you get stuck or need help

The WebinarNinja helpdesk people are available at any time to help with issues around registrations, emails and passwords, and difficulties logging on or accessing booked webinars. They are quite literally waiting to help people like you connect to webinars; they are quick to reply and friendly too!

Please note that especially just before or during the live webinars, the presenters are not available to assist with connection or registration problems - please use the helpdesk people instead.

If you get stuck, open a new browser tab or window and head to www.webinarninja.com

You don't need to log in or anything, just look in the bottom right of the window for the blue and white circle and click on it:

This will bring up a support window over the WebinarNinja page.

Click Send us a message to begin a conversation with a helpdesk person:

The helpdesk chat window will come up. Type your question in the area at the bottom of the window. Hit <Enter> or click the blue triangle to send your question. A helpdesk person will reply shortly...

1. Book a webinar

Choose a webinar title from the list on the webinars page and click the blue button to register.

Click Register for £2.50 on the webinar details page, then fill in your name and email address and click Proceed to Payment

Enter your payment card details and click Pay and Register

You will shortly receive and email confirming your booking. This email contains a link to join the webinar once it has started. You can stop at this point, but I would strongly recommend that you carry on to the next step and complete your free account setup at the WebinarNinja website so that you can easily join webinars as they start or access replays of past webinars without hunting around for old confirmation emails.

2. Claim your free WebinarNinja account

By claiming your free account after making a booking, you can then log on at any time to easily access upcoming and past webinars that you have registered for. This is far easier than relying on finding confirmation emails and clicking on the links, since it is all in one place.

Also, by setting up this access when you book - rather than when a webinar is about to start - you can be sure that everything is ready to go before the next live webinar is due to begin.

Visit the Webinarninja website and click Not a member? sign up to begin your free account setup

Enter your name and the email address you used previously for your webinar registration. Add your preferred password, then select your timezone and click Claim account

The Claim Email Address screen should show the name and email address you entered previously. Click Claim Email Address to complete your free account setup.

3. Log in to your webinar dashboard

Once you have registered for a webinar and completed your free account setup, head to my.webinarninja.com and log in to see your webinar dashboard, which gives access to all your registered webinars, past or future.

Log in using the email address and password you previously specified

Your dashboard lists all your webinar registrations, grouped under two tabs: Upcoming Webinars and Past Webinars

4. Connecting to live webinars

You can join a webinar from ten minutes before it is due to start (or indeed while it is running) by clicking on its link in your Upcoming Webinars tab

Log in to your webinar dashboard at my.webinarninja.com, as shown in the previous step.

To access the webinar Queenright and Broodright, for example, click on its blue Open Page button

You can only connect to a live webinar in the ten minutes before it starts, or whilst it is running. If you click Open Page before this time, the following holding screen will be displayed offering you the option to add a reminder for the webinar to your calendar.

If you have got this far successfully then everything is ready to log in and click to start the webinar at the appointed time!

Alternatively, if the live webinar is about to start (or has started), you will see the following screen. Click Join Webinar to open the webinar window:

Until the webinar starts, you will see a holding page. The lecture materials and presenter images will appear where the main picture is when the webinar starts.

Take the opportunity to scroll down and familiarise yourself with the Chat and Questions areas.

Chat

The Chat area is used principally for attendees to introduce themselves. Everyone can see this, and it gives a nice flavour of who is here and where they are from.

Do not use the Chat area to ask questions about the content of the webinar - they will likely be overlooked and there is a dedicated Questions area for them.

Questions

The Questions area allows attendees to ask questions of the presenters as the webinar proceeds. Generally these questions will be answered at the end of the presentation, as per a normal talk or lecture. Attendees can add their own questions to the growing list, or add a comment to an existing question, for instance to clarify or expand on that question to request specific details from the presenter

In the replay, you can click on a question to fast forward to where it is answered.

5. Accessing webinar replays

Registering for a webinar automatically gives you access to a replay, whether you attended the live webinar or not. Replays are available a couple of hours after the live webinar finishes, and you can watch them as many times as you like.

Log in to your webinar dashboard at my.webinarninja.com, as shown in the step 3 above.

Click on Past Webinars to display the webinar replays that you have registered for. Remember that you can still register for a webinar after its live date has passed - this gives you access to the replay for a session earlier in the series that you might have missed, for example.

Click on the blue Open Page button beside a past webinar to access its replay:

Click the blue Watch webinar Replay button to open the webinar window:

You can now watch the replay.

Remember that the Chat and Questions areas are no longer live to add to! You can click on the right arrow in the Chat window to hide it.

Move your mouse over the main presentation window (or tap on it if you are using a tablet) to bring up some extra controls at the bottom of the screen. The allow you to pause, fast forward or rewind, change the volume, or switch to full screen.

Scroll down to see the questions that were asked and answered during the original live session.

If there is a time link next to a question, you can click on this to skip straight to that section of the replay.
